DTS - 'New Youth Prayer Group'

ABOUT DTS

What is the Dead Theologians Society?
The Dead Theologians Society is a Catholic youth prayer group for teenagers.

It takes place every Sunday night for (except holiday time) for 20 weeks in the Conference Room, upstairs in St. Eunan's Cathedral. It starts at 7pm with a chance to socialise - have a bite to eat and then move in to the prayer time around 7.30.

Two adults lead the prayer time, which is based mainly on a different saint each night / decade of the Rosary, and afterwards around 8.30  - a time to relax, chat and a bit more to eat!

Through the Saints of yesterday, the Dead Theologians Society inspires the youth of today to become the saints of tomorrow. A special charism of the Dead Theologians Society is to pray for the release of the Souls in Purgatory. Its motto is, “Dead to the World, alive in Christ!” This is inspired by Romans 6:11 where St. Paul tells us to be dead to sin but alive in Christ Jesus.
