St Eunan’s College Students prepare for Raphoe Pilgrimage to Lourdes

St Eunan’s College Students prepare for Raphoe Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Five students Ciaran Lynch, Eamonn Mc Devitt, Matthew Doherty, Noel Barron and Gavin Sweeney depart for Lourdes on the 22nd May for five days with over 40 other young people from other second-level schools across Donegal as part of the annual Raphoe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. There will be approximately 350 pilgrims from the Diocese this year, including 40 assisted pilgrims. The young people will have a special role in working with the assisted pilgrims.

A big thank you to those who helped our 5 Fifth Year Students sell tickets for a hamper, kindly donated by GORMLEY’S CENTRA, Letterkenny on Saturday 7th May, especially their parents and the members of the Parents Association of the College. Thanks also to all those who bought tickets for the raffle. The money raised will help defray the travel costs for our students. Congratulations to Joe Bonner, Calhame, Convoy who won the hamper. Thanks again to Gormley’s Centra for sponsoring the hamper for the raffle and giving the students the opportunity to sell the tickets at the entrance to their shop on Saturday last. Thanks also to the Mr. Darby and all the staff at St. Eunan’s, and Fr. Pat McHugh and all the team involved from the Raphoe Diocese, who have supported and prepared all the students for their pilgrimage to Lourdes.
